What students study

Sociology asks why society works the way it does. Students study families, education, crime and inequality, learn the main sociological theories, and get very good at using evidence and research methods to argue a case in an exam answer.

AQA is currently the only awarding body offering GCSE Sociology. OCR withdrew its GCSE Sociology in 2016.
